It’s no fun getting hurt, but it is loads of fun to repair the body with surgery. Learn how injuries to the bones, organs and skin are repaired. Unfortunately, we will not practice on humans but rather on frogs and pig organs. You will be using real-life surgery techniques such as endoscopy, suturing, drilling, and more. We will master suturing techniques, fracture plating, and ACL reconstructions, anesthesia, CPR and even removal of cancerous growths. At the end of the week, we will officially open our own ER room and invite parents to watch their future surgeons in action!

Led by Alicia Adams. Alicia has taught previously at Celsius and Beyond. She is a student at UCSF’s Medical School and plan on becoming a surgeon herself. Alicia graduated with an M.S. in molecular and cell biology from UC Berkeley.
